Free - bike windscreen, large - London, UK

I wombled a Vespa windscreen out of the bins a couple of weeks ago thinking maybe I could cut it down to use on my bike, but I can see I lack the tools/skills/inclination to be bothered so rather than sling it back in the bins I thought I'd see if anyone has a use for it. This is what it would look like on the scooter.

There's no metalwork, just the plastic screen and it's got a few scratches near the top where a cupboard had been dumped on top. As for where it came from originally, I suspect it was ripped of some stolen Vespa by the local kids because it didn't look cool before they trashed the scooter, in the past I've found sundry number plates, a Givi top box and once an almost whole Aprilia in the same place. I did ring the police about it, but their response was that it was worthless sending someone out to look for any evidence, and to their it back in the bin (they said much the same thing about the Aprilia too, despite having the number plate and being less than six months old, eventually having been kicked around, knocked over a few times I found it left in the park with the front end crumpled, but that's a whole other whinge).

Anyway if you think you could do something with the screen, let me know and it's yours, if not it's back in the bin with it.

See you tomorrow

See you then, glad to see it hopefully getting used. Are you coming by bike?

Will be yes. Just modding it hopefully this will save me some money that I'm short of :)

Being a chippy I have the tools an hopefully I can put my hand to making up some brackets.

Great to see this sort of thing working out; another useful item saved from the bins.

Now if anyone has a free electronic ignition unit for a Suzuki GS550... ;)

Sadly not, it's usually only bits of scooter to be found laying round the place, you can guess why.
