Airhead gearbox sourcing..
Hi all,
Anybody know a good place to source a smooth  R100gs gearbox with kickstart? ( without selling the house to fund)Ideally I would like the HPN 5th Gear in it.. Regards CBI UK

If you can source a gearbox (pretty easy) you could get it overhauled bye this guy (he does all of the work for motorworks etc) If you supply the different gears Ie high top low first - he will build them in at no extra cost during the Overhaul. Had my gearbox done this year he charged £228.00 all in thats a complete overhaul, new bearings, seals, gaskets changing the ratios of top and bottom etc and postage of the box back to me. You may have to wait a while 2 to 4 weeks as he is busy but gearboxes are his thing he is also well known on the classic and race bike circuits for his work. My gearbox has been excellent since the rebuild. Unless you really need the 5% difference in the gear ratios I would say its a mod not worth doing. Mine is done and its really not that noticable to be honest and maybe not worth the cost. dont have his phone number to hand sorry. but he is very difficult to catch on the phone best trying late afternoon or early morning, Roger Bennett Engineering, Bradley Mills Road Huddersfield, HD16 6pq really nice bloke
