1 x 41L Pannier wanted. Metal Mule / Zega

Hi..

I did own 2 x 41L powder coated metal mule boxes but one has been bent and battered to an unrepairable state..

So, if theres anyone out there in the same situation with half a set of luggage and wants to help me make a pair... Lets talk

No such thing as a 41-litre MM pannier.

MMs are 31-litre, 38-litre and 45-litre (i.e. 7 litre increments).

Wow

That must have been some hard impact to trash a Metal Mule. Take a medal. Linzi.

Dam it !! Yes its a 38L. I must have had the Zega size stuck in my head.

Yer, 70mph crash on dirt in Argentina (Very stupid I know) !!

It actually held together and with some tie straps it will stay on the bike. The 40mph crash on RTA40 smashed it up even further but it STILL stayed in one piece but so bent that the lid wont shut.

Tried straightening using many methods in Dakar Motos (bsas) and Metal Mule themsselves have had it for a while and they cant see a way to straighten it either so I think its just one for the trophy cabinet

Hi Ted

There are two here which you might have already seen. Having a spare might be tempting fate though ......................

Will you be at Hardraw this weekend, it's only a hop for you?

Regards, Mick

Cheers Mick..

Ill keep an eye on those...

They will probably go for quite a good price though ! Fingers crossed that GS boys are too worried about their banks and shares

I'm actually thinking about making a replacelemt. Just copying my mule with maybe thinner alloy.
