* SOLD* XR650L 2008, Asuncion, Paraguay, GREAT condition.

* EDIT: No longer in Buenos. now in Asuncion, Paraguay *

Here at last, Buenos! Selling the bike (cannot import to homecountry) in EXCELLENT condition. Can sell here or go to a nearby (1000 miles radius) location.

(photo from start of trip

XR650L 2008 which was bought in California in better than new shape, and remains so. Mods and Extras:
- FMF pipe + rejetted fabulously by previous owner.
- Protection : Cycra handguards, MSR skidplate, shortened levers.
- Clutch : the very tough Barnett kit + Motion-Pro cable.
- Huge Tank : Acerbis 23 litres + external filter
- Luggage Handling : Cycleracks rack, uniquely reinforced + massively reinforced tail and lower frame. NO OTHER XR HAS ANYTHING LIKE IT, any terrain, with any load.
- Misc : High Protaper Bars + raisers + grips, Uni airfilter, tool pipe storage on the skidplate.

Maintenance quality : I am riding XR650L back home (a much older model - 1999) for 5 years now, I know this bike very well, all its sensitive issues (and all it's incredible advantages), I perform all routine maintenance, always the right oil (every 2k miles), filters etc.. I ride it with a temperature gauge so it has NEVER overheated. Suspension sag adjusted for the weight..
The bike is in a GREAT condition, as I said, NEVER overheated, always well warmed up when cold etc etc. Really well cared for.

Why XR650L? If you rode it you know why, but if you consider other dual sports - think about those detail: stock weighs 160KG only, 30cm(!!) suspension travel and ground clearance!, can take a fall or a hundred like a dirtbike. Traveling with this bike means being able to have tens and hundreds times more fun offroad, means going places other touring bikes would never dream/survive/manage. And that's the stock. My bike, can handle all the additional weight of the luggage needed with top-notch protection and toughness. And let's not forget the Honda reliability and serviceability, and the UBIQUITOUS Honda dealerships all over the Americas in case you do need anything..

Price: *EDIT* 4000$ (USD), negotiable, give me your best offer.

Sale procedure: from my research what I understand (can point to the links) is that it's fairly simple here - get POA (power of attorney from notary) and go out of country (urugway) and back it under new owner.

On this kind of trail. Only XR (or DR, but XR is way more fun )

I have to go back home. But this bike is built to Travel - take it!

Also, gear to go with the bike.

- Two soft sidebags of Cortech, which served me well, and are to my opinion better then hard panniers as far as offroad goes (take falls better, keep the weight more concentrated).

- Whatever spares I still have - tubes, break pads.. all but the tools (which I will take home).

- About wear & tear parts state : both tires are good for another several thousand miles. The chain and sprockets are virtually new (changed 2500 miles ago), airfilter reusable foam, oil 1000 miles old. Just fire up an go.

About the price - if you think my price is way off, make your own offer, it's negotiable and I DO want to sell.

changed location

The bike (and me) is no longer in Buenos. It's now in Asuncion, Paraguay.
(if you one happen's to be in Buenos, and interested, Asuncion is just a 17 hour 400 peso bus ride away).

definitely a good bike

I can personally vouch for this bike and it's rider. I rode with him from Nicaragua through to Panama and crossed with him on the Stahlratte to Colombia. He took damn good care of that bike and knew how to ride it. Made me wish I had 2 wheels instead of 3...

Hello,
Are you able to ride INTO Bolivia, as in Tarija? If so, I am VERY interested in the bike. I am serious buyer.
I just bought a couple of Suzuki DR650's from a couple and they drove their bikes into Tarija and it made all the difference in the world for paperwork on our end. If you are serious in selling it and can drive your bike INTO Bolivian territory, we can meet you in Tarija as we are based in La Paz.
Please respond directly to this e-mail. sergioabz@gmail.com
thanks
Sergio

Not having much luck around Lima, so could be prepared to move to find some bikes. Where will you be with the bike in a week or two?
