will I make it out of the country?

...if I sell my US registered bike in Europe? I can't remember, but I think there's nothing in your passport, but they haver those computer thingys nowadays... the reason is that I truly think my bike will be worth less than the cost of trans-atlantic shipping at that point... I'd be willing to donate it to charity if I coyuld fly out w/ no problems... anyone have any info (flying out of either Germany or UK)

i cant see why not.......

do you have a Carnet for the bike?
also what bike is it? ask about you just might sell it, better than donating it to a charity IMHO, most charity Organisations wouldnt know what to DO with a bike,
or I could register as a charity.......lol

Hope you can get the help you need mate.

no carnet - that's an obvious problem to overcome though. My question is whether the EU registers foreign vehicles entering and tallies that list against exiting, or takes the easier course of just catching the buyer. Really I don't mind if the *buyer* has to jump through hoops, I just don't want to blithely show up at the airport and have some functionary start with "there seems to be a problem sir..."
