WANTED (Vietnam): Suzuki GN125 or the Minsk - to buy in Ho Chi Minh City

Hello everyone!

We’re two backpackers who are planning to do a motorbike trip from Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh City) to Cambodia, Laos and back to Vietnam (Hanoi).

We are looking to buy a motorbike in in Ho Chi Minh City that would be suitable for 2 people to ride on.

The models we are keen on are the Suzuki GN125 OR the Minsk (with all the required papers).

We will be in Ho Chi Minh City from 7th March onwards.

Ask for Sigon johnny

Sigon ohnny helped me out when i started my trip in Dec '10, i got the suzuki gn125 for $500, probably should be less.
Head to Hung Vuy near the park in tourist area, it is an expat teachers bar so lots of long termers with info for you, and the cheaper beers with good staff.

Why don't you just rent a couple?

Renting is cheap
We rented 2 x Honda's for a month, at just $45 each.

Gra.

We considered it but we heard it's not easy or even impossible to cross the border on a rented bike... plus only one of us can ride so renting two is not an option.
