Wanted!!! DR650 in Argentina, End of May 12'

I'm looking for a solid DR650, 2005-2011 model, to buy in Argentina and drive north back to the USA. My wife will be along for the ride so needs to be ready for 2up.
Need to be able to pick it up end of May somewhere in Argentina.
Please, only contact me if the bike is seriously able to handle the trip.

I have a Vstrom 650 in Argentina selling end of May

So, are you serious about taking a DR650 2 up back to the USA? That would be tough, but doable.

I've got a 2008 Suzuki Vstrom 650 which can handle some dirt although I only used it for 600 miles of dirt. It's got 88 litres of hard case storage which should handle all your gear.

The strom is a great choice for the trip as you will be riding 98% pavement and will have less problems and way more power than DRs and KLRs. There are a bunch of blogs with people riding V stroms two up from the USA down. I would recommend a rear shock upgrade which you could bring down with you.

Anyhow, I have a lot of interest in my bike and will be leaving to Iguazu Falls in the next day or so to sell in the bike.

If you are interested please email asap or PM. bacougle@hotmail.com

Hi again,

Here's a link to my post on the Hubb. The 2008 Vstrom with ABS is from Canada and currently has 32,500 miles.

My post is on page two in this post area.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events (22 this year!); we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, the HUBB or to receive the e-zine. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
