There is a Diesel bike Yahoo forum. The guy's there will be able to put you in touch with the people who run the Diesel bike rally at Hamm and also the one in the UK. Here you might have a chance of talking to people putting Smart car engines in various frames and so forth. They may also have a link to a guy in Germany who was doing Hatz engined Urals, but I'm not sur if he's still going. Tried Joachim Sommer in Germany?

Diesel Enfields are not IMHO going to do very well with a sidecar, but they do seem to be the only available "production" option as against a home made conversion. The queue for the Military KLR based Diesel is I think getting longer

Good Luck

Andy

The rally at Hamm in Germany ( the one in Westfallen) is the 12-14 september. I hope to be there again this year. Last year there was about a dozen manufacturers there ( mostly German), THE bike to have for sidecar is EVA products machine... it can even be had with two wheel drive. But mega bucks, the cost of a big BMW.
