WANTED: bike in Jordan (or Middle East), Feb 2009
Hi;
I'm going to be in Jordan during Feb/March and am thinking of a road trip to Istanbul in march/april 09. Will anyone be selling a bike in that general region in feb? I'm flexible in terms of requirements, but would prefer panniers and the readier it is the better. I'll be spending almost all of my time on roads and travelling somewhat light. A bike registered in the US would be ideal so I can ship it back, but not necessary. please email me and we can work something out if anyone has a bike they'd like to sell! thanks! ano |

R1200 GSA special edition
Hi,
I have a 2007 white BMW R1200GSA which i bought NEW 3 months ago fom the dealer here in Kuwait. It only has 2200km. i was prepping it for my RTW but that does not look like it's going to happen as I have only raised about half of the funds. So now I have bought a cheaper second bike and am now looking to sell the ADV to fund my trip. It is a unique bike, more than fully kitted. It came with the front fog lights but i added the 80% brighter bulbs, also added this to the main headlight. REar clear LED light and brake light fitted. It has a front light mesh guard, oil cooler, beautiful 'rugged roads' brake and clutch protectors together with a DAKAR nomad bash plate protector thingy. It has a SUPER LOUD 139 DB horn, Additional bright LED white lights on the front and Additional super bright rear LED tail and stop lights fitted to the panniers, and these have all been fitted by the dealer and are detachable so that you may remove the panniers. I brought back a stack of extras from the UK. Send me your email and I'll send you the pics Best regards Sharif |

Hi Sharif;
Thanks for the note, and sorry to hear about the need to change plans. that sounds like a wonderful bike and I'd love to see pics, but I think it might be a little bit too much bike for me. I'm a relatively new rider and also only 1.7m tall, so I dont think i'd be able to handle the bike. I too would need something smaller. ive sent my emal in a PM anyway. thanks! ano |
