WANTED - adv bike, possible P/X for Triumph Sprint, UK

This is probably a bit of a long shot, but here goes ...

I currently own a Triumph Sprint ST 955i (2002/02) and have decided to sell it and get a bike more suitable for the kind of touring I want to do. I'm getting a bit old for the clip-ons and high speeds, and want to get something that will let me smell the flowers and take my time, while being able to explore more than main roads and motorways. Intended use will be either solo trips with camping gear, or 2-up trips with luggage only. I anticipate Europe only to start with, but plans may change depending on my circumstances. I am looking for something along the lines of:
  • 650 V-strom
  • 660 Tenere
  • Transalp
  • Versys
And a value of 3000-3500 UKP or thereabouts. Before I sell the Sprint, I thought I would post here and see if someone was interested in doing a part-ex or swap. The Sprint is in the fastest colour (red) and has low mileage (14k miles). Overall condition is good, with one or two marks but nothing major. Mechanically 100%. One factory Powerlet socket, and one added by me to the instrument panel. Genuine Triumph rear rack. Original manual and tools. Carbon-fibre Triumph silencer. When I got it last year, it had been standing for a while and had no service history, so I have done most of the 12k service on the fly. New head bearings, new front brake pads, oil and filter, and last month a pair of Pilot Road 2s, which are amazingly good. The torquey triple engine was voted the best engine for UK roads by Bike magazine. Top end is 150+ if that matters to you, but in the real world it is just a very fast and stable road bike. I've just done 2k miles 2-up around France and Germany, and it didn't miss a beat. Cruised at 90-100 fully loaded no problem, and very comfy too. I'm happy that it is a sound and honest bike. Taxed and MoT'd (no advisories) to June 2013.

Here's a pic (screen has been swapped for much better DB screen):

I'd be looking for around £2800 for the Sprint, so either something of similar value as a straight swap, or else some cash your way for a better bike, perhaps up to £500-700 or so. I'm quite flexible, and happy to deal if it avoids the nightmare of eBaying or horse-trading with a dealer. I'm in West Wales, but OK to travel pretty much anywhere in the UK for the right bike.

If there is any interest (and I am not hopeful, but you never know) I can supply a much more detailed description and photos - just let me know here or by PM. It's going on eBay in a week or two if nothing happens here, but I thought I would try a post on the HUBB first. It's a 'tourer', after all, and someone may be wanting to do a swap in the opposite direction.

Edit: if anyone is interested in the bike but does not have a suitable swap bike, I would be happy to sell for cash, of course.
