Smile W A N T E D: 2-up bike in South America, Nov 2008

Back in the real world and time for some R&R beginning Nov 2008. We only have 2 months and need a 750cc+ bike for 2-up travel. Argentina would be ideal, but... No beauties needed, but must be in good shape - this time it's a vacation!

On another note, if you don't have a bike but have a place to store the bike, that would be great so we can come back again.

Yamaha v-Star 1100 cruiser

Contact me for this well equipped and very comfortable ride!!

Temporary permit good until February 2009.

I have assurances from the Chief of the ADUANA (customs) that they will transfer title to another foreigner. That gives you 3 months or slip over to Uruguay on the ferry and stay there 12 months. At your own pace, you can return to BA for another 8 months,

$7500

Thanks all - will keep searching. May ship a bike from the states down and leave it there. Mika, have Damaris contact us if she will be near Colorado.

Got it! 950 Adventure

Thanks all! Actually picked up an 04 950 Adventure w under 2,000 miles on it for a screaming deal. Turns out the Jesse luggage is the same as from my Dakar, and new mounts are on the way.

Yesterday Erin & I took our first 2-up ride in years, and what a blast we had! Lots of curves, twists, and gravel roads. It's easy to forget how much fun it is to have your partner in the saddle with you, rather than only in the mirror.

Now we just have to sort out shipping to Argentina or Chile = riding from Colorado to Florida/Texas or California. Any connections?

Cheers!
