Hi chaps, I have a Suzuki v-strom dl1000 GT for sale, great bike has the GT extras, full luggage, centre stand, heated grips. 2007 model in blue great condition with less than 6000 miles on the clock.
Reluctant sale, only selling to fund a smaller dual sport adventure touring bike, would be interested in a px for a cheap dr350 with or without extra kit as im planning to travel to India and beyond next year.

I'm happy to purchase bike a bike before hand, but need to know how much
Lic & Mot is left on your bike. Also do you have a problem storing the bike
until I arrive? And finally how far is Dorset out of London by train ( klm & time )

I am about to put a DL1000, ready for touring, on sale once I get it MOT’d on 16th March.

Looking for ~£3000 :
2003, Dark blue,
heated grips
aftermarket larger screen
metal ‘crash’ bars around fairing
Full luggage consisting of :
- 50L plastic Kappa top box
- 2 new SW Motech Trax 45L aluminium side panniers (were £600 with connections and locks - only used one weekend as originals from an early batch were replaced under warranty).

24,000 miles but mostly on motorway commuting and the odd weekend around Scotland.
Very good condition, not used during winter but regularly started and run

Owned for 2 years since around 11000 miles, and dealer maintained by Saltire Suzuki in Edinburgh. 1st bike so not thrashed at all – very tamely used around Scotland and while out with other Horizon’s folks.

Could throw in chain (~ £60?), alarmed disc lock (~£80) and cover so it’s good to go…. if you give me a decent price :-)

For the original poster – can get train up from London to Edinburgh in 4.5hours if you get the right one, or cheap ‘megabus’ – would need to check on prices…..and you couldn’t get a better place to start off your Euro tour :-)
