Start your world tour in Western N. America in 2006 on a cla
I've got myself a nice R1150GS Adventure and am finding that I don't use my 1989 R100GS very often anymore. I fired it up for the first time a couple of weeks ago since last year October. Started at the first push of the button!
I would be willing to sell the bike outright or to make some kind of sell/buy back arrangement if you are touring North America for 6 months or something. I live close to Calgary, Alberta, a perfect jumping off point for exploring the Rocky Mountains and beyond! Here are the specifics: 1989 R100GS in Black/Yellow with 160,000km; Jesse luggage (with 21 country flags); Ohlins rear shock, Progressive front springs; Wunderlich tank pads, dipstick thermometer, valve covers (easy oil fill) and valve adjusters; Spiegler iron rotor and stainless brake lines; Corbin and stock seats (you choose!); Odyssey Dry Cell battery; Almost new Metzeler Tourances; Alternator replaced with unit from Motorrad Elektric; Driveshaft replaced 30,000km ago. I am planning on doing the rings and pushrod seals this winter. It will be ready to go around the world next spring! You can see pictures of the bike on our website at www.ekke-audrey.ca (it also details our year-long trip to Europe, N. Africa and Turkey). I can send you some detail pictures of areas of specific interest if you like. Ekke
