Hi!
Try the Ueno district of Tokyo.
East to get to via train to Ueno Stn.
Ueno bike area is only a 5 minute walk away. You'll find what you want there.
Chiba city area is good too but bike shops are a bit more spread out.I think route 16 Chiba to Kashiwa has quite a few good bike shops.I have been there a few times so know where they are but its not too difficult to find, more awkward to explain!
Most of all ........HAGGLE! The Jap dealers arent too comfy with us hassling them for discount and there are plenty of them so dont worry about losing out.
Lastly, some of them might not sell to you unless you can prove you have a permanent address.Others might supply you on a buy -back basis.Hope that helps.
Gambatane!(Good Luck!)
Norm
