I'm selling my Euromot GXT200 after 6 months of trouble free biking. If you don't know about this bike its the best cheap option available and great for offroad too (loads of info on the HUBB). Its not the same as other Chinese bikes as this model is made in the same factory as the Suzuki DR200 equivalent by the same people, so the engine is solid. It is actually sold in the Yamaha dealerships in Chile, which is where I bought this one new. The only weaknesses are the transmission and spokes and I replaced these with Japanese ones early on.
The bike is 6 months old – 1st Registered July 2012, and will have about 20,000km when I back to Santiago. I have all original documents and booklets. All the papers are up to date – Chilean registered.
I have upgraded all the spokes for stronger Japanese ones. None have broken since changing them 14,000kms ago. Bike has been serviced regularly. It great as you can service and buy parts cheaply in every country out here.
Cheap Insurance: US$130 for 6 months insurance for all South American countries.
Economical – I can get 25-28kms/litre and cruise at 90km/h at 6000 revs (top speed at 110km/h)
Obviously the bike is used, so there are the usual scratches and marks on the plastic from where I dropped it on Ruta 40 near Cachi on a sandy corner. If you view the bike, you'll see its not bad at all. The only other problem I had was the original chain was weak and snapped. When this happened the chain cover came off. The cover is held in place with 3 bolts and one of the bolt supports snapped off. It was not needed and I could have left it as it is, but I had the 3rd bolt support welded back on anyway. So its nothing much, just cosmetic, but thought I should mention it! As I said before I have changed the chain to a Japanese one so no issues since. Other than this the exhaust has started to blow a bit but its up to you if you want to get it changed or not.
I want a quick sale when I return as I need to fly out, so will sell the bike for around $1,200. I am also selling the listed equipment below separately, but can do a deal on the lot. Its a great price for a bike ready for travel and if you buy the lot it will save you a lot of time searching for everything. I'm currently in Bariloche, and will be in Santiago in about 7 to 10 days.
Its a superb light bike that can handle all surfaces easily, but most importantly it is solid and relible so a great option for travel if you don't want a more expensive bigger bike. Ok any questions let me know here or email me at email@example.com
