2 * BMW R1200GS + loads of kit - London UK
I have for sale two R1200GSs, recent veterans of a London -> Nepal trip. Both bikes performed magnificently. In addition to the bikes we also have two each of:
- metal mule panniers & top box (excellent prang protection for legs & bike) - famsa tank bags - engine bars (tested thoroughly, scratched but not bent) - Remus collector pipes (no CAT = leaded fuel no problem) - Sargent seat (superb all-day comfort) - metzler road tyres fitted (5000 miles used, about another 5000 remain) - TKC80 off road tyres (2000 miles used) - various spares eg brake & clutch levers - StreetPilot III GPS - Autocom system wired in with kenwood radio for bike-to-bike all powered from alternator - gerbring heated jacket with thermostat all wired in We're making this lot available as a package here in case this is exactly what a fellow traveler is looking for. If it doesn't sell here we'll split and sell separately. The bikes themselves are 2004 models. One in yellow with 18k miles, one in blue with 34k miles. They have spoke wheels (of course) and heated grips, ABS. Both bikes are currently being serviced at battersea BMW and will be available for viewing shortly. The kit cost us just over 2k new per bike and the bikes cost £8,200 and £8,500. In addition we spent months testing and reconfiguring everything to make sure it worked perfectly on the trip (which it did). We'll see the lot go for £8,000 per bike. If we split, we'll be looking for £7k per bike with the pipes. My email address is steve@clara.net. steve Last edited by Quark; 27 Jan 2007 at 16:50. |
