PANAMA 2008 KLR650 US$3200 Fully setup
Hey guys,
I have a 2008 Kawasaki KLR650 for sale in Panama City that I need to sell pronto. I accidentally booked a flight for the wrong date (24th of Dec) to the states and I need to go. My mate (also with a KLR - flyde) will be around Panama for a week or two sorting out his bike and he can help with the sale so it should be easy enough. Hopefully you already know about our little mission to power a boat by our bikes around the Darien (if not, check out Four Strokes of Luck). Well, we made it alive, and my bike powered us all the way as Adam's bike an electrical problem. It was a hell of mission and an adventure! OK about the bike! She is a 2008 KLR650 with 40,000 miles on the clock. She is the special emission control model for California, which is where she was last registered. She has done a coupe of tours of duty in Central and South America, hence the high miles, but the engine doesn't skip a beat and runs like new. The fairings have seen better days and a few bits and pieces are 'special' custom bits, but she rides well. The pannier system is a pair of 35L completely waterproof Pelican boxes mounted with a lockable quick-release system to the well tested rear frame. The boxes are so good my mate wants to buy them, but for now they come with the bike. I have two helmets (one is DOT approved) and a racing-style, reinforced, mostly waterproof leather jacket size XL. These are included in the price. Also included is all 8 new clutch plates worth $150. She has a new chain and rear sprocket but needs new tyres. I also have a big bundle of paperwork with the service history in the days before she lived in South America and a spare number plate. The import/export situation is easy. If you have any questions shoot them through to me! Our boat with most hardware needed to be powered by a KLR is also for sale, so ask if you're interested! Sweet. Roly |

I live in Panama is this bike still for sale? How would I keep it registered in Cali while living here?
It's best to keep registered in the U.S. as importing it to Panama means paying some very high taxes. Let me know if it's still available and if you have any ideas. |

Quick plug, my 2001 KLR650 is now for sale in Panama. I'm looking for about $2k and she's fully equipped, I just rode her 30'000 miles across Canada and down to Panama. I've posted the full info here.
