Unhappy a pair of overland prepared xt600e's for sale in portsmouth ukl

For sale is a pair of Yamaha XT600E motorcycles

Both motorcycles have uprated front fork springs and oil, essential for soft ground road holding, and have uprated rear springs suitable for carrying all associated luggage and one person (rider). they also benefit from K&N air filters for superb partical filtration of sand and fine dust and can be washed and reused.
The bikes have custom built engine bash guards made from 5mm thick alloy plate and locate on the two front engine mount bolts which are M12 in size not the usal and flimsy M8 bolts fitted as standard. The guards are of a 'winged' design so as to protect the underneath and side engine cases of the engine from just about any impact of fall the bike may suffer.
Also included in the sale are alloy panniers approx 30 litres each which locate onto the usual touratech style steel pannier frames and tank bags and also a 'U' shaped custom made bag which sits acrross the panniers and across the rear of the seat and gives around another 30 litres of storage. Basically all the storage you are going to need, or else your doing something seriously wrong!!

The tyres fitted fitted to the bike are Tkc 80's front and rear and have thousands of miles left in them and the rears have only been used for around 500 mile.

bikes also have DID gold X ring chains and also come with spare sprockets for each bike which we never used and also a full set of front and rear spokes for emergencies also never used and also spare wheel bearings and cables ETC.

Also supplied are seat covers made from high quality sheep skin which are actually designed for use in helicopter seats so are good quality and very essential to stop serious bottom ache on long distance journeys! and the headlights are fitted with mesh lens guards to prevent any breakage from stones thrown up.

One of the bikes is a 2000 model year on a W plate and has covered approx 12,000 miles is finished in the usual XT black and is in superb mechanical order and the other bike is a 2002 year model on an 02 plate and is finished in blue and is of similar superb mechanical order having covered around a similar 12,000 miles.

The bikes do have a few scratches on them but nothing really worth worrying about and still look superb when polished up with all the kit on them, they carried us accross from the uk to the congo in Africa without missing a beat, a fact which is the single most important reason for buying a bike for overlanding, Yamaha really really do build a superb motorcycle and we will be very sad to let them go indeed.

If your looking for a couple of bike to use for overlanding these two are ready to jump on and go, as there is really nothing left to add to them to make them better other than an oil cooler if travelling somewhere really hot.

We are looking for £4200 for the pair but will consider selling separately if enough interest. please ring on 07989 889 584 or E mail danlovelock@hotmail.com for more info or to view.
