P r i c e r e d u c e d - UK - XT600E for sale with full kit & spares £2250

Price reduced, as although I've had some interested via emails, no firm offers have come in:

1 Bike (In great condition with low mileage)

2 Panniers (One pannier has a replacement lid made in Peru)

2 Pannier lining carry bags

1 Rack system

1 Heavy duty bash plate

1 After market large tank (300 plus miles - The tank is white but slightly discoloured)

1 Original tank not taken on trip

1 Petrol stove

1 Sleeping mat

1 Dry bag to strap on the back rack (Normally hold your sent and sleeping bag)

1 Set of straps

1 SW radio

1 Manual (Not specifically an XT600E, but the closest out there and covers most things on similar models)

1 Set of tools.

Good set of spares, most the stuff you'll need, but no tyres, spare chain (I've just fitted the spare chain) or air filters (all used on the road).

There's probably a few other bit and bobs, but you get the idea. I can even throw in a helmet and jacket if you're really on a budget and of course they fit!

The bike has just been serviced, has a new chain and new battery (they removed the old battery when it was shipped back home).

I brought the bike in August 2006 and it was brand new, from Redirection Page and I am the only owner. It's done 26,500 kilometres (The milometer and Speedo are in kilometres) and has been very well looked after and serviced very regularly and it has been garaged.

The bike is in Kings Lynn, Norfolk if you'd like to come and have a look,

I am also happy to go over how to service the bike and offer any trip advice you might need, as over the years I've done a few big trips to most corners of the world. This is my fourth XT600E and with many other old school over Landers, I swear by them.

Hi Iain

I'm doing my first long trip (to Dakar) this september and I need to buy a suitable bike now. Your bike sounds about right for me - what would I still need to do to it to prepare it for this trip?

To be honest, you don't really need to do anything, as it has been serviced and well looked after.

Simply organise your kit you need to pack, then work out any spares beyond those I'll give you with the bike.

I used old school maps, so you might want a GPS, plus the maps for the areas your heading.

All the tools, panniers, bash plates, tank and some camping kits included, but no tent and sleeping bag.

The bike spec and over all build is perfect for on and off road and the suspensions strong and designed for on and off road.

If you'd like to give me a call, send me an email icc.davis @ googlemail.com and I'll email my mobile or you're welcome to arrange to come and have a look.

Iain.
