old g/s wanted (again)

Trying to track down an(other) old R80g/s mono lever.
Posting this on behalf of a friend who has decided to come 'along for the ride' with me into Africa and it makes sense to have the same bikes for obvious reasons. (Like when mine breaks down I can steal parts from his while he is asleep)
I have mailed him links to here and he will be registering v soon.

Cheers
alan

Hi
We are currently away travelling in Soouth America on two BMW R80GS bikes.
We struggled to find two of these bikes in England, we found one for John but we wanted two of the same bikes for the same reason as yourself (only having to carry one set of spares etc.)

In the end we managed to get a german friend of mine to bring a motorbike magazine back from germany when she came back from visitng her family. We found the magazine had loads of bikes in it. Cannot remember the name of the magazine but the man who we eventually brought the second bike from is a very keen motorbikers who could probably help with obtaining tha magazine for you. If you send me your address I can ask him to send you the latest edition of the magazine.

Getting it into England was not a big deal either.
Annette

Thanks Annette

I didn't think to try Germany.
The good news is I have a good friend in Germany so I will ask him to do a search for me.

Thank you again
alan
