interested!
Hello!
Where are you at in Cambodia right now? I am looking for a bike to do some travelling around SEA, and the minsk was actually the bike I intended to get originally! I have contacted another hubber from phnom penh to check out his bike, If you are around the same area then i just might make the trip out to see both of them.
I have to go on a visa run within 2 weeks, so i would be interested in seeing it soon.
I have a few questions:
- can the registration be transferred so i'll have less hassles at border crossings?
- can i have some specifics on work you've done to it?
- mileage?
- how much of a hassle is it to travel with a 2 stroke in laos/cambodia?
- do you have some pictures?
I dont have enough posts to PM on here, so if you couldd reply to my email address ryan2119@gmail.com that would be cool
Thank you!
Ryan

Minsk for sale
I am a keen mechanic and biker and since leaving Hanoi 2 months ago i have been working on this bike and now its up together and better than all other Minsks i have seen.
We are all over at the moment in Kratie today the further north tomorrow then on to Laos next week. If you are interested i suggest meeting at Vientiane in Laos in 2 weeks, but if your are very keen and get back to me soon I could meet you in Phnom penh. I only want to do this journey to meet you if you commit to buying as I cant afford the time otherwise.
As far as registration goes most old bikes in Vietnam are usually registered in an old owners name as a general rule, even for the Vietnamese people. The bike has come from a reputable ex-hirer (Siagon Scooters, Ho Chi Minh) however you can only get a bike registered in your name if you have been a resident for a length of time but as this is an old bike the papers would probably not been re-registered anyway. So, I only have papers with a Vietnamese name. I have researched alot of border crossings and as far as I can see it is very easy to travel between Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. I did the border from Vietnam to Cambodia and had no questions asked and plan to go to Laos in the next few days with just as much confidence.
So this bike will be in laos in one week then maybe Hanoi or Phnom Penh

interested, too late?
hey, i just found this post, although I imagine I'm a little late.
is the bike still available by any chance?
I'm in Vientiane right now with my girlfriend, and we're looking to pick up a couple bikes (minks?) to travel to and through vietnam. i heard crossing from cambodia to vietnam was impossible. does anyone know more about this? we're not set on going through cambodia, but i thought it could be a a nice way to get to southern vietnam. any suggestions on routes? paperwork advice? any help would be amazing, we know nothing
