Looking for a foreign bike in Colombia for trip to Chile

Hello,
I am looking for a motorbike larger than 500cc that can handle the trip to Chile from Colombia. I'm from the US and would like to have a foreign bike to avoid paying the taxes. Anyone in Colombia have one I can buy?
Cheers,
B

Thumbs up Try "Motolombia"

I know a danish guy "Mikkel" from EXTREME MOTORCYCLE ADVENTURES who normally has a couple of bikes for sale.
Try a contact him - I'm pretty sure He'll be able to find something suiteable for you.

We have a 1990 Honda Transalp fully equipped for long distance touring for sale. It has already made the trip you are planning for......round trip Victoria BC, Canada to Ushuaia. The bike was converted with an Honda African Twin tank, w 27 liter capacity to extend the range between gas pumps. Happy trails panniers, large windscreen, crash bars, barkbusters.

This bike, although now imported to Canada, was brought here from the US, thus it was originally landed in the US and duties paid.

If this fits your route planning conatct me at ropebj@gmail.com

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events (22 this year!); we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
