looking for a dual sport anywhere in europe

hello everyone,
first of all, let me say that i think this is an amazing site.
i am travelling around europe at the moment, on my way to nepal and i am looking for a bike to take me there.
i am looking for a dual sport around 400-600ccs, well maintained, preferably with bags. i have experience working on japanese models, but it is really not so important.
but also i am not really sure exactly what i am looking for, so if you have some advice on good touring bikes, i would very much appreciate that as well.
so if anyone has something like this, please let me know
thanks again
jordan

Small to medium sized cities are best for hunting down bikes when using Public transport. Good luck.

buying in Europe

Travelling "around Europe" is very general, where do you want to buy? I know about the Netehrlands, lots of dealers with selection s of all types of bikes , all prices, ages. For example Wim ter Braake Motoren , then click on " voorraadlijst" and get their inventory of used bikes, picture icon ,prices . Google many more dealers by brand.
Or check out the private sales on the site Marktplaats.nl - de advertentiesite van Nederland, then to the various brands of bikes. to get an idea of what is available and prices being asked . Both sites in Dutch only .
Buying in Netherlands willl mean you must work the export - plate registration route, may be a bother.
PS this past winter or fall a HUBB contributor jens el aleman located in Germany offered to help anyone with the paperwork and other arrangements for buying a bike in Germany. He even had bikes to sell. See if you can find those posts here on the HUBB ( I tried but not enough time nor luck )

hello again,
thank you for esnding me more in the right direction.
actually, i am looking right now in germany to buy a bike, there seem to be quite a lot of bikes there and for reasonable prices. i tried looking in france but they are very expensive here.
so i found the contact info of the german fellow, but he does not accept emails, and i dont have enough posts to pm him. so i guess i will just spend some more time on this wonderful site and contact him as soon as possible.
so, thanks again for the help!
best
jordan

Thumbs up Honda NX 650 or F 650 - both availabale close to Frankfurt

Hi,

I always have several motorcycles, so no problem if you are looking for one, I know how to register it for foreigners too, I did it several times.

I live close to Frankfurt Airport(45min) no problem to pick you up and to arrange a cheap accomodation too. Please let me know what you are looking for and how much money you would like to spend.

And of course when you would like to show up.....

Just contact me - Jens
