Loaded "89 Transalp For Sale
1989 Transalp for Sale
This bike has had the best of care and maintenance, totally documented in my maintenance log. I am the second owner of this Transalp, and have logged 51,000 of the 57,000 miles on her. The oil has always been changed at regular intervals using Full Synthetic oil. The swingarm has been regularly disassembled and greased, and the bearings are in new condition. I just completed a thorough maintenance procedure, New wheel bearings, New steering head bearings, New Front and Rear sprockets, New X Ring chain, Complete Tune-up, including Valve Adjustment Complete carb rebuild including new Vacuum Diaphragms and main jets New Heavy Duty Clutch Plates, Steel Plates and Springs, Clean, inspect & Lubricate Swingarm bearings, & Shock Mount Bearings Complete Fluid Change: Prestone Extended Life (Orange) Antifreeze Full Synthetic Motor Oil & Filter Castrol Synthetic Brake Fluid In addition to the work just completed, the following items have been changed or upgraded: 2 New CDI Units, New Voltage Regulator Racetech Gold Valve Cartridge Emulators in Front Forks New Speedo cable New Clearview Windshield - 23" tall Odyssey High Capacity Dry Cell Battery, ( Modified Battery Compartment) Manual Override Switch for Radiator Fan Rear Fender Extender (To keep debris off Monoshock and engine) Chain Oiler Custom Headlight Unit including High Power Xenon Bulb K & N High Performance Air Filter Custom Rear Rack With secure Storage Compartment Ohlins Rear Shock for the Transalp (Includes Stock Spring, and Heavy-Duty Touring Spring) Givi Engine Guards w/ custom tool containers mounted to engine guards Givi Rear Trunk w/ Quick Release Chase Harper Tank Bag for Transalp (Lifetime Warranty) Chase Harper Saddle Bags (Lifetime Warranty) Custom zippered under seat mounting system New Dunlop 607 Radial Dual Sport Tires (Never Mounted) 90/90/21 Ft 130/80/17 R New Progressive Fork Springs for Transalp This bike uses no oil, and is one of the best running Transalps I've seen. It is faster and smoother than others I have ridden, or ridden with. This bike is being sold reluctantly, and at what I believe is a fair price, considering the equipment installed. 1989 Transalp w/ equipment listed above, $3,500 This bike is set up for long distance touring. Handles great, runs great, gets great gas mileage. If you are familiar with the accessories and upgrades added, you know there has been a considerable investment made in equipment and labor. The bike is located in the Fort Myers area in Florida. You can view photos of the bike at http:/photos.yahoo.com/jefferis1 Check out the photos111111111111111111111111111 |
