1999 KTM 640 Adventure - ready to go! London, UK
Very capable and reliable travel bike. Perfect if you are considering touring off the beaten track (Africa; South America etc)
My wife and I prepared the bike for a year travelling South America but life changed & we had a baby! Now we are moving abroad and would like the bike to go to someone who will get the most out of it. We have travelled through Europe & Africa with the bike - it has never let us down. As mentioned this is a 1999 640 Adventure (blue & orange). 2 Owners from new (I bought the bike in 2001) with 43000km on the clock almost all of which has been me. Whilst on the road I have been meticulous in the servicing and have always ensured the oil is changed more frequently than recommended. It is currently shod with a pair of Metzler Karoos, the front is in great nick, the rear will need replacing soonish but there are still a few hundred miles in it. The chain and sprockets have less than 1000 miles on them (stealth rear sprocket with X-ring chain). There are a number of spare parts already fitted to the bike (e.g. spare clutch cable & throttle cable already run next to the actual cables for quick switch over). I am looking for approx GBP 1950.00
