KTM 640 Adventure 2004 - London, UK - £2995 - Will go quick!
Here we have a KTM 640 Adventure 2004 model which I bought 2 years ago. It has 20,703 miles on the clock and currently SORN (off the road). When I bought the bike I was under the impression it had 6784 miles on the clock, however after listing the bike on eBay for £3650, I did an MOT check for potential buyers and the last MOT was done 27/7/2010, 23 days before I bought the bike. The previous owner pulled a fast one on me, however I have now adjusted the price compensate for the true mileage. £2995.
I would have discovered this earlier but after a mishap in France I never managed to complete my full bike licence and only got to ride it once. My KTM was intended to drive me back to South Africa but unfortunately things don't always work out as planned. The time has come for me to move back to SA and I'm already shipping a Landrover so unfortunately she has to go. The KTM has always been garaged until I moved less than a year ago and has since been covered. I just spend a few days checking the bike over and its in a very good condition and I have no doubt it would pass the MOT straight away. The battery was replaced in 2010, when I bought the bike. Bizarrely after starting it now for the first time in 1yr6moths it was swinging for seconds and started straight away. I just recharged the battery to full power but that’s pretty amazing considering my Landover’s battery didn't make it through the bit of snow we had in winter. I also replaced one pipe which looked frayed and the coolant with brand new KTM recommended, Motorex G48. I cleaned it thoroughly and it starts on the button. The bike has been off road and used for its intended purpose. It would be silly to have it any other way. It's by no means perfect but all cosmetic. There are a few marks on the left hand fairing which are visible in the pictures. I have the last MOT and the V5 is present. The KTM 640 Adventure comes with: · ALLIT panniers and custom racks. The racks can take a jerry can and I’ll chuck a plastic one in free. · Pivot Pegz worth £150 for easy, comfortable riding when standing. · Brand new Continental Twinduro TCK80 Rear and front tyre · Touratech Luggage rack extension · New sprocket for higher top speed on long distance roads.
