KLR650 for SALE in Columbia - end of April/start of May 2011

Hi,

My travel companion 'Lord Flashheart', a 2004 Kawasaki KLR 650, and me are at the moment in Tilcara, North Argentina.
Just got two new tyres, oil and the works to hit the Bolivian roads. Plan is to drive up to Columbia.

The bike is treating me well and is fully ready for overland travel with Jessy Panniers, good suspension, tool kit...

Anticipated time of arriving in Columbia is end of April, first week of May.

If you need a bike around that time, let me know.
Price 1900 USD.

I bought the bike in Buenos Aires and arranged all paperwork + third party insurance (Mercosur). So far crossed about 5 borders with no problems.
So I can advise concerning paperwork if you send me a PM.

Greetz, Bart

the magic word "Photoshop": scanned the paperwork of a friend, changed the details on the title and ready to cross any border...

There is no other way of doing it when a foreigner buys a bike from another foreigner in South America. Maybe there is, but then it involves months of work, including changing paperwork in the US, since my bike's plate is from California.

Since the insurance is on the person is not a problem to drive around with forged papers.
If you are in an accident and the police is involved and they thoroughly start looking into the papers, you have a problem with them, but that is not your biggest worry I guess at that time (and probably rather easily solved with exchange of some dollar notes).

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events (22 this year!); we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, the HUBB or to receive the e-zine. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
