KLR 650 2007 near Ushuaia 11K miles. , loaded and ready
The perfect bike for the Trans American or South American trip !!! The KLRs 2008 onwards models are not so reliable as this one
I have a KLR 650 2007 I used in my trip from Vladivostok to Barcelona. The bike was bougth in USA with 1.000 miles on it. Now it has 11,000 miles and it's in Punta Arenas Chile, 300 miles north from Ushuaia. I registered the bike here so it has chilean licence plate, but also has a valid registration in USA. So, you can sell it or leave it in USA since I have the USA title also. It's in pristine condition and ready to go, I never have had a single problem in 11K miles. Nothing had to be changed or fix it. You only need a set of tires ( the ones it has will last maybe for 2,000 or 3,000 miles) and your tools.. I'm asking usd 6.000 ( I'm open to receive offers ) and this include all my help and the cost of paperwork to put the bike at the name of the buyer in Chile. For this we will need 2 or 3 days here in Punta Arenas. Then you will be ready to go everywhere...Of course I'm including also a set of accesories and spare parts listed above. Things installed on the bike ( the number is the money I have paid in US dollars ) : $ 245 pannier mounts $ 308 aluminum panniers $ 84 skid plate $ 79 engine guard $ 129 tank guards $ 133 sealed battery $ 19 cigarette lighter handlebar mount $ 46 k&n filter $ 78 windshield $ 44 tank bag $ 63 tank guard bags $ 47 doohickey $ 12 rotor bolt for doohickey 36 subframe kit Things inside the panniers : $ 28 wheel bearings kit front and rear $ 10 oil filter $ 25 front brake pads ( also one set of rear used ) $ 31 heavy duty shift lever $ 105 chain and sprockets kit $ 10 mirror $ 10 front bulb $ 23 tubes front and rear $ 24 levers ( clutch and brake ) P.S. A friend of mine did the same trip and he has a similar bike , but 2003 year with 19.000 miles on it. This bike is for sale also here in Punta Arenas. Thanks ! Interested in buying bike
Hi,
I am interested in the bike. How much is the second bike? My budget is $4000, but willing to negociate. I am in El Calafate at the moment and am looking for a bike to purchase right away. Price..
This one could go for 5,500. The other one for 5,000. And the good is you are very close to Punta Arenas. You can stay at my place while we make papers...
