Honda XR 400 R

just wanted to let you know that I may be selling my Trusty Honda XR400 before Christmas Now that our 2 up travel plans have come to light.
We intend leaving soon on a year long trip, in which case I will be selling my Honda.
I have owned the bike from new ,I bought it in Aug 2006. Its on a 55 reg, it's been serviced every 1000 miles by me as I wanted it to last. The bike is ready to ride anywhere.
comes Fitted with
22 lt tank in Red which you cant get for love nore money.
Quick remove screen,
Honda rear rack.
Large engine guard,
Acerbis Alloy Hand guards.
Head light guard.
Throw over Red and Black Panniers
Tool Box
Loud Horn { standerd is no use at all }
In line fuel filter, which can be cleaned.
Brand new white side pannels { never used I removed them from new}
Brand new XR400 Standered Tank { never used I removed it from new }
Wide foot pegs
Larger side stand foot
Comes with a full detailed service history. You wont find many XR400 that have this.
MT21 tyres and C and S fitted about 800 miles ago.
It will have one years tax and MOT.
The bike Starts First Kick every time.
Back in 1999 I had a XR400 which did 90,000 miles with no engine work. I then tried a DR400 and the engine needed stripping at 26.000, so For me the Honda XR400 is by far the better for engine longevity.
If you do a search on my name you should be able to find more info on me and the bike.so you can see that it as never been a problem and is in perfect working condition
Asking price will be £2200 inc all parts listed above.
Or £1900 as a standered XR 400

Hi

I'm in Yorkshire, about 30 minutes from Leeds / Bradford airport .

Never needed any engine work and as long as you look after the bike it should not need any .A well looked after XR400 are about as reliable a motor as you can get.

I would not think twice about strapping my gear on, and setting off round the world .

Due to leaving on our Touring Holiday in 4 weeks time and not having enough room to store all our stuff and bikes I have had to sell 3 bikes .
The Triumph was sold last weekend , so now that leaves my Matchless and my XR400R.
I will take £2000 for the XR400R but no less.
If anyone would like to ask about this bike and how it runs I'm sure anyone on the ride out's at this meeting would tell you that the bike starts first kick and is in perfect running order.
