Following a very near miss yesturday on the Alp, thankyou Mr BMW driver for pulling out without looking, I have decided that i will no longer be riding a bike to work and since i have two, Im thinking of selling them both to get another nice cruiser.
Anyway, Im considering selling the Transalp, so thought I would put my feelers out to see if anyone is interested...
2002 (52) with 20500 miles on the clock. Last serviced at 19000 miles by BlackDog motorcycles in Staines.
Bike is Blue in colour. MOT til February 2011. Tax til Oct 2011.
Good points: Heated grips, Renthal high road bars, Black Baglux tank cover, Engine crash bars, and i get 175 miles out of a tank of fuel...which is more than adequite for touring!
Mechanically sound, starts on the button every time. Recent new exhaust.
Bad bits: Petrol tank had a little surface rust, so this has been sanded down and painted with anti rust paint. This is only a small area below where the front of the seat sits, so is not noticable...especially not with the tank cover on it. Rear rim has a crack in it, this looks worse than it is and is losing no pressure from the tube or anything like that.
I also repainted the fairing support with black anti rust paint, as this feels the full force of the crappy british roads!
This is a good solid bike, all ready for a bit of off roading somewhere hotter than here...

I would be looking somewhere in the region of £2500...similar bikes advertised on MCN between £2499 and £2900 without bars and covers....anyone interested ping me a PM, or ask a question here...
