FS: 2002 KLR-C 650 in Lima, Peru
I have a Kawa green 2002 klr 650, C model (more dirt oriented then the common a model with beefier front forks, steel rims, 4.1 gallon tank, etc..).
The bike will have 62-64,000 kilometers at the end April. The bike is in good shape for the age a km's. It burns a bit of oil at highway speeds (as most klr's do) and I'm currently missing one of the plastics (the right side), but it's a good bike for touring south america. Price: $2500 us. A partial list of mods, inclusions, etc.. upgraded front brakes (Tokico 290 mm) ickey replacedEagle Mike's adjustable rear suspension bored our airbox heavy duty front and rear tubes heavy weight front fork oil auxilary wires from battery (fused) heated hand grips klx bark busters custom panniers custom tool tube klr manual The following was done about 4,000 k's ago: new brake pads (front and rear) new chain and sprockets valve adjustment new clutch cable I also gave it a full tune before leaving Colombia (less then 2000 k's): new battery cleaned carbs cleaned air filter new clutch pads custom pipe changed oil/ filter (oil changed every 1,500-2,000 k's) new rear tire (pirelli mt 60) new foam/ recovered seat cleaned, lubed, greased, etc.. Also included will be both sets of keys, manual, various spare parts (chain links, clutch cables, brake pads..), lube, etc... I also have a full set of tools, tank bag and other gear that I may be willing to sell as well. The bike is registered in Australia. I bought it in Bogota from another HUBB rider in July 09. The paperwork was easy, straightforward and I have had no problems crossing borders or at military/ police checkpoints. I'm trying to ship the bike back to the states, but it looks like it will be prohibitively expensive. I'd like to sell it in Lima sometime around the 20-27th of April, but willing to consider other options. I am currently in Mancora, Peru and headed south down the coast. Here is a picture (sorry it's not the best, had a hard time uploading on here), I have plenty of others to send. Please email me with any questions. Cheers! |
