For Sale: 1999 KTM640 Adventure
For sale is my 1999 KTM 640 Adventure. It currently has only 5,922 miles on it
and runs wonderfully. It starts/runs great and is ready to do some serious adventure riding. I’m selling it because I just haven’t been able to use it the way it was intended. This bike was built for some hard core offroad touring and I’ve only been able to use it for my commute to work and back. The front tire is pretty new, with less than 500 miles on it. The rear tire (Pirelli MT21) will probably be finished within 1500 miles or so. I have a new rear tire to replace it when it is needed. The chain and sprockets are in good condition, with a lot of life left on them. I currently have it geared for highway riding (16-38). It has a new battery. I had the tank and upper fairing repainted orange because I scratched them both shortly after getting the bike. Right after I bought the bike, I tore it down almost completely to clean and inspect it. I regreased the steering head bearings and swingarm linkage bearings and checked virtually every part on the bike. As a precaution, I even upgraded the transmission main shaft bearing that is known to cause problems in some machines. This bike needs absolutely nothing and is ready to go. There is some road rash on the end of the right handlebar/barkbuster as well as a bit on the rear axle nut. Other various parts show scratches, etc from normal use. Asking for $3995 or best offer. Would also trade for a DRZ400S (preferrably '03 or newer) plus some cash. The bike is located in Newton, KS. Call me at 316- 706-7682, or email at modvfr@hotmail.com. Thanks for looking Here are some current pics: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
