F/S Yamaha XT600E 2001- Tunbridge Wells.
Hi all,
I'm moving to Sydney so i'm selling my travel bike.

2001 XT 600E - £500 ono. Originally in blue, the bike has been driven to Cape Town so is cosmetically 'rugged'.Its looks like a bit of a rat but its cheap, reliable and will suit someone.

The good bits:
  1. The engine was re-built in South Africa following the piston ring failure. It was re-bored then received a new piston and seals gaskets etc. I have the receipt.
  2. New Grips
  3. Center Stand
  4. Newish Avon Distanzia rear tyre- the front is a trailmax in good nick
  5. Renthall bars
  6. Acerbis hand guards
  7. onthe trip i used another tank, so i have refitted the original (nearly new tank).
  8. Comes with Cymer Manual, and some spares

The Bad Bits:
  1. The side stand snapped off (i still have it)
  2. No bash plate (the under side of engine is fine-i left the crd one in South Africa)
  3. Below 5 Celsius it takes a few goes to start in the morning. It does always go eventually.
  4. Looks like a rat due to the peeling paint on the plastics. (anti theft device)
  5. The exhaust silencer is very rusty.
  6. There is other surface rust on the frame.
  7. There is no heat cover over the RHS exhaust pipe (ive never had this and don't find it a problem).
  8. Light for the rev counter is not working
  9. Indicators have been repaired a lot- cosmetic.
Other Stuff
I was using my Fazer most of the time so I decided to SORN the XT in my mums garage and preped it for staorage until my next North African skirmish. This was on 20th August 2008.

So the all the fuel was drained and engine run to empty the carb, the oil was changed, the exhaust outlet sealed with plastic and the bike was propped on the center stand and wood. The MOT expired in Aug 08 but i have all the old certs.

Millage: I think its around 20,000.

There are photos of the bike on my blog below, though it should be noted that some of those goodies have been removed. I can send other pictures contact me on No below or my my HUBB name on gmail.

The bike will need to be collected from Tunbridge Wells.
