England, Yamaha XT660Z Tenere 2008 price dropped
was £3750 now £3500

HI I have my beloved Tenere for sale.

The bike is in all round good condition and comes with 12 months MOT and TAX so you can jump on and head off on your next adventure.

It has a full service history and has covered 12,700 road miles. Its fairly standard apart from having a Loobman chain oiler fitted and used since new. It is also fitted with the Off The Road Lowering Arm kit, but I also have the originals.

If it goes for my asking price then I will throw in DNA Stage 3 Filter Kit (£100 plus). MTC single s/s pipe (£170),KEV MOD fitted (see XT660.com). Powerbronze screen (£50), Touratech rear rack (£70), Haynes manual etc if not these will all be available seperatly.

These Bikes really do live up to the Legendary Tenere name. It is a true all round bike and can cut it in the dirt see heroes legend rally etc for what some owners have put these bikes through and they keep on delivering.

The bike was bought new by me in 2008, I have wanted a Tenere ever since I was a kid watching the Dakar on TV. Sadly I must sell as I need the money. Don't feel too sorry for me the wife can have her new bathroom and I can get my old TTR back on the road.

The bike is Metalic Black, with candy orange side panels although the side panels are easily painted any colour you like. If I was keeping the bike I was going to spray them matte Khaki green.

I have priced the bike to sell and it will be worth every penny to its new owner. As you can tell i will be sad to see it go.

Please PM if you are seriously interested and I will get back to you. Thanks for reading and I wish you well.

I sold my BMW a few years back via the hubb and would far sooner my bike goes to someone who is going to appriciate it rather than just the highest bidder on flebay.

I am just off Junction 20 of the M1. I could deliver anywhere on the mainland for fuel costs plus my return travel costs.

Sorry should have added the bike also has adjustable levers fitted and extra wide footpegs.

The 660z's are known for the reg/rec fault. My bike suffered this while still under Yamaha warranty and so it now has a complete new loom and reg/rec fitted at Alf Englands.

I also have a folder including the Yamaha service manual and lots of magazine articles etc from the Bikes Launch to date.

Currently fitted with Distanzias. worth noting that due to the tyre sizes these bikes are much cheaper to shod with tyres than some of the more road oreintated big trailies. a mojor plus in todays climate.

Bike sits happily at 80 all day on the motorway and returns excelent mpg no matter what the pace. 300 Miles per tank is and has been achived.
