It's on Ebay now..... I would like £1750 which I think is fair considering the extras and the mileage.
I am selling my DRZ 400 SK3. I bought this a few years ago for commuting and a little light trail riding. No serious mud plugging or off-roading though.
Since buying it as standard I fitted the following extras.
Full Scorpion exhaust system with removable baffle (Cost £300) - This has a small dent in the top but doesn't effect performance or looks.
JD Jetting Kit (Imported from the U.S, it has new needles, jets etc. Makes the bike pull faster and smoother - Cost £100)
CRD Case savers ( Protects the engine cases in case of a fall)
Zeta racing Oil cap/dip stick (Nice aluminium unit replaces cheap plastic original)
CRD Foot-pegs (Again imported from the US. The standard pegs are small and cheap looking. These are sexy and grippy. Cost £50)
Smaller rear indicators (Mainly to stop the exhaust melting them like I did on the originals - ooops)
Modifies air-box with 3x3 hole extension for exhaust and jetting.
Fitted a larger 10.6 Amp Yuasa battery (£90) with a modified battery box for strong, faultless starting. The battery is less than 12 months old.
Along with all these nice goodies, I can say that the oil has been RELIGIOUSLY changed every 1500-2000 miles since the bike was new. I am a motorcycle mechanic by trade and did the valve clearances only 500 miles ago. They are SPOT ON. The oil, spark plug and filters are also only 500 miles old.
The tyres were fine on the MOT only 500 miles ago although they are getting a little low (although legal) so I am also including a set of off-road tyres in the auction. I have another set of TCK80 road legal Enduro tyres (almost new) that I will sell for £50 if required.
I have two sets of original keys too. Chain and sprockets look fine and the brake pads are also fine too. I might throw a set of spare ones in if I can find them in my parts cache. lol.
I have removed the EU Emissions junk from the bike (Carb solenoid and PAIR valve). The carb now breathes properly and reliability is increased. (Read Thumpertalk.com for info)
The bike starts first time EVERYTIME in all weathers and pulls well. The gears and clutch work fine too.
Now, it is 8 years old and has been ridden all year round so the body work isn't immaculate. It is an enduro bike though and in much better condition than most for the same age. A full fairing kit for this bike is about £80 and a pot of touch up paint is about a tenner. You could have this bike looking BRAND new for £100 if you were bothered. I wouldn't be though...
I will also be 100% honest and happy to answer all questions. Please email me for a sub 12 hour reply. Happy bidding.
