You will not want it when youve got it

7hp aproxx driving against a stong wind would be difficult 500 miles to the gallon ( downwind only )

All these numbers are aproximations not actual - someone fill him in with the real numbers please

I have an Enfield fuji diesel and am so glad to find someone as knowledgeable as yourself, so yours does 500 mpg then? mine 'only' does about 180 mpg you'd better have a serious look at the engine if you find it difficult riding into a strong wind.
It's actually a very pleasant bike to ride, very similar to a BSA M20/21, I suppose you know all about them too?.
No , I bet you don't own one or have ridden one, have you actually even seen one?
In the link below, on the press reports the machine reg No PUX is the actual bike I own.
Everybody loves a smart knowledgeable ass'ole

Sorry if I have touched a raw nerve Dave
I mean no harm

recognise this quote "Any input, comical or otherwise appreciated".

I have riden a B20 ( in army trim ) I have had a 87 G/S and a 83 G/ST

I currently ride a 91GSPD or a 1150gs or a XT600e

Get a sense of humour, and read the post again with it !!!

now what does mean please ???

lots of love Mick

Dont worry too Much about Dave.... he gets very protective of his Enfield! He has got a sense of Humour, Honest! ask Cammy he will tell you! on second thoughts..Dont Bother.
Caminando (Cammy) has recently undergone difficult and painfull surgery to have his sense of Humour removed and they replaced it with Itchy Piles and PMT!......

Hiya Dennis! say Hi to Uzi for me when to report me for making fun of you again!

The explanation of rofl......

ROFL = Roll On Floor Laughing
ROFLMAO = Roll On Floor Laughing My Ass Off

And does this mean you havent got a diesel enfield you wanna give away????????

Last september I rode across France, Belgium and into germany for a diesel bike rally. three of us, one riding a Hatz powered ( IB30 9hp engine) . The only time the low power was a slight problem was on some of the hills on the two lane german motorways. normally we cruised at 55-65 mph.

try searching here DieselBike.net The Original Diesel Motorcycle website.

johann jochin of Sommer diesels make new bikes at about 7k euros, using the Hatz IB40 engine.

If at all possible get a bike with a 5 speed gearbox. they are ideally suited to the power output, so much so that using the IB30 engine with the 5 speed box is possibly a nippier bike. Certainly more versatile.

I have often thought the same thing, this year along with a 'dirt' bike I am taking the diesel to the IOM, cannot afford to spill a drop

You Hoping to set a record for the Slowest lap then Dave?

...... no offence meant mate! with luck you shouldn't have to throttle off at all, especially if you put some sticky rubber on it!
Stick a Vid cam on board.... there cant be MANY or ANY people who have Onbike TT Track Diesel Footage!
