Up for sale is my much loved BMW R1200GS. This is an awesome bike and it comes with a lot of extras.

The Bike.
2005 R1200GS. ABS, Heated Grips, Trip Computer, Wire Wheels from a 2008 bike added at around 22K miles. The tires fitted are Continental Tourance, front and rear and they have just 3600 miles on them. Clear turn signal covers with amber bulbs. The bike now has 45,000 odd miles on it. I bought last year in Feb and it had 11,200 miles on it, all of them L.A. freeway miles from the first owner who never took it off road. Always maintained, and all services performed on or before time. Oil has been changed every 5000 miles, and has been changed again last week, with new filter etc.
No issues with the bike, engine, gearbox or driveline what so ever. These things are built like Sherman tanks and are designed to go for hundreds of thousands of miles, as can be seen from some of the travel exploits of the owners of BMW’s everywhere. I get anywhere from 190 to 240 miles out of a tank of gas, even two up on my recent trip to Mexico. My best ever was 265 miles on the Dalton Highway to Prudhoe Bay.
My travels on this awesome machine have been well documented on my website at Home
The bike has been down 6 times in its life, all with me on it LOL. The first 2 were gentle lay downs during my riding course at the Rawhyde Adventure weekend I undertook last year, the next 4 were all during my recent trip to Mexico, all on the same road in Baja, two-up, heavily loaded in sand (not recommended). Being a tough bike, there was no major damage during any these falls, just some scratching that can be seen in the photos.
The bike is owned by me free and clear and I have the title in hand. It is currently tagged in California until August this year.
