BMW R1150GS 2001 Non- ABS Grey

The BMW has had 3 owners, I've owned since 2005.
Taxed till 31st December 2012

The machine is mechanically good and has never given me a single problem. The mileage is due to this bike having spent 90% of its life touring the world and therefore no heavy duty commuting. As you know these bikes are awesome and I would have no hesitation in riding this one to South Africa tomorrow but am moving away for work so needs to go to a good home now.

These engines will easily do twice this mileage. On it's travels, it would generally be hot countries, slow speeds (usually well under 50-60mph), long days with frequent servicing (some owner, some independent, some main dealer at more frequently than the required intervals, lots of receipts for servicing parts to show that it's been done regularly). It's fallen over now and then but has never crashed. You can't ride like an idiot when travelling RTW so trust me, I've taken care of this bike. Minor paint scratches etc as you'd expect but the bike generally looks great.

The rear sub frame was strengthened by the previous owner who travelled 2-up for 2 years on it and has never cracked. I travelled solo with hard luggage for 1 year with zero issues. The original rear shock has been refitted as I used an Ohlins the whole time while the previous owner also used an aftermarket shock so the original has had little use.
