BMW F800GS 2008 x2, UK reg, March 2011, North America
We will be shipping our 2x BMW F800GS bikes to Buenos Aries in early November, and riding to Ushuaia then North, hoping to make it to the US by mid-late March.
I am posting this ahead of time as for someone else planning a trip, it might be useful to know what may be available in the future. The bikes are both 2008 models, one will have 45k+ miles on by the time our trip is finished, the other around 30k miles. Both have been fully equipped for adventure touring, with touring screens, aluminium panniers, crash bars, bash plates, spot lights, hand guards, etc etc. Both are high spec models with ABS, OBC, heated grips etc. Both are UK registered. Price to be agreed depending of final mileage, condition, etc at time of sale. One has been lowered for a shorter rider with a custom rear spring and has a low comfort seat, the other has stock suspension and seat. The bikes would be perfect for a couple like us, where she is a bit shorter than he! If there is interest from somebody keen to continue their adventuring (they'll be in the US at about the tight time to head either North or South!) then we would be happy to sell them, and save someone a lot of money in prepping and shipping, otherwise we'll ship them home again.
