Deal possible around January 10?
Hi,
I'll get a flight for around January 10 as soon as I find a bike. Is the bike still available? where is it registered and what does it imply in terms of ability to cross borders? What are the local constraints to register it under my name (French passport holder) if we strike a deal? Thanks, Laurent |

Hey,
yes the bike is available. it has guatemalan plates, and it is not a problem to pass ownership, it is done in the capital in the proper governmental office and you get a title on your name. this takes about 10 days (i will do it with you if it becomes relevant). in terms of border crossing - again, no problems, as long as you have a title on your name. i've personally done all the crossings until ecuador, and know plenty of people that have done all the borders to the tip of the continent with foreign plates - no problems. Let me know if you need more information. I can be contacted at mariestenfeldt @ gmail.com all the best |

Price? Pictures? Are you including any equipment?
If the bike is still available please provide some more info.
When would you like to make the transfer? Why are you selling the bike? Carl |

Price, Pic and details
The bike is still for sale.
The transfer can be done anytime. I live in Guatemala now so there is no rush for me. As for details, it is in perfect condition, everything is original beside a full set of crash bars and it has only 47,000km. The price is 6,500 USD and is fixed. Why I'm selling- I bought the bike after traveling north/central and a bit south of America on a KLR, and planned to continue to the tip of the continent but wanted another bike. I searched for a good Africa Twin for the mission. I bought this one from the manager of Honda in Guatemala City, which treated it like a baby. I settled in a small village here, in order to gear up for the trip but in the process I ended up with two businesses and a better half, so it looks like the rest of my trip will be postpone down in life for a couple of years. I use the bike here in Guatemala and enjoy it very much. But its sad to see such a pretty creature that was supposed to concord the world, just standing in the garden and get to go out for a ride only once a week or so. No gear in the deal but everything can be arranged/bought locally. I guess thats about more or less what I can think about. If you have other questions let me know. All the Best |
