89 Honda Transalp for sale in Denver, CO

view some pics at http://denver.craigslist.org/mcy/155766514.html

The time has come to sell my baby. I’m just to busy, have to many other bikes, and the alp just is not getting ridden the way it should. If you know what a Honda Transalp is, you will fully appreciate this one. If not, some quick research on the web (www.transalp.org for one) will tell you more about these wonderful and rare in the US Honda dual sports. here is a recent article in motorcycle classics: http://www.motorcycleclassics.com/se...ar/2006-05-01.

What we have here is a truly babied, upgraded and pristine example of an 89 Transalp. Bike has never been down that I can tell, and all the plastic is perfect, no scratches even. I am the third owner, and the second owner is a good friend of mine who takes meticulous care of his bikes. Milage is just under 50K on this alp, but really this bike runs as new. I have all records (including owners manual) going back to original purchase at Cycles of Boulder, in 91 (one of the Transalps that sat on the show room floor like so many of them). This bike has had every maintenance performed, and many many upgrades. Bike has new cam chain’s and tensioner recently and is very quiet, new higher performance clutch (less than 2k ago), Progressive springs out front, Scott oiler (auto chain oiling system), CDI upgrade, K&N filter, Heated grips, PIAA driving lights (very bright), GIVI crash guard, Givi wing rack and top box mount (but I am gonna keep my boxes since they fit other bikes), Givi tall windscreen (original as well), Metzler Tourance Dual sport tires. And much more.

Also is a box of spare parts, including brake shoes, and a spare brand new CDI and mount (common issue with Transalps, now you have a spare), voltage regulator, seals galore, oil, etc.

This is truly a unique and rare Transalp in excellent condition, ready to go to Tierra Del Fuego (my plan for it). Its totally ready to ride, needs nothing. Don’t think you will find one cleaner than this, don’t really think its ever been offroad. I’m asking $4200 or best offer with possible trades considered, mostly other bikes since I’m a bike nut (no firearms please). Bike is located in NW Denver. Email me at syncro29@msn.com or give me a call at 720-317-5207.
