650 bike required in Argentina.

Managed to buy a KLR650 from a Welsh guy who had emigrated to Australia and was riding a California registered bike in Argentina.
Trouble is the missus wants one now as well.
Need a 650 that is not too tall (?). She has ridden a BMW F650GS and likes it, but not a Dakar as its too tall. Something similar or a lowered 650 trail type bike would be considered.
We live in San Rafael, Argentina now, not the UK.
Regards
John and Annette.

John and Annette,
I have a Suzuki dr 650, 2001, which can be lowered to fit shorter people. Infact I started out with it in lower position. Check out bikerjon link. I am in Argentina too.

John, Annette,
Are you friends with Chris and Erin?
I am now in Santiago. I ride a F650GS, yellow and as I am a short lady, everything is lowered. I am on my way south. I should finish my trip around April somewhere here. I don't know yet if I will be able to sell my bike (she is like my husband right?) but it can be an option. The bike is now 110 thousand kilometers and is registered in California. I haven't thought about a price yet.
Have a look at my website. www.annamotodiva.com
hasta luego.

lowered 2001 KLR 650 for sale in Buenos Aires.

I have a 2001 KLR 650 fully modified for the tough riding. You can see all of the modifications at my website listed in my profile. It is 3 inches lowered and has a RICK Mayer saddle. It is perfect for height challenged people and I have ridden 750 mile day on the saddle. Absolutely no problem with clearance even on the rocky mountain big dog ride. It needs a new piston. I have been sitting in Buenos Aires for a week and am preparing to ship it back to the USA. However, I am considering selling it. It has a clear USA Colorado title and is ready to go except for the piston. So far I have had no luck in finding a piston in the city. I will continue to look for piston. Otherwise, if you have time, I will mail you a piston from the US. US cost is $70 for piston and $40 or so for rings and gaskets. It is sitting at Dakar Motos where I am also staying. phone: 54-11-4730-0586 Carlos Tejedor 1379, Florida Vicente Lopez, Buenos Aries, Arg. Go to www.dakarmotos.com for map. Javier is a mechanic and will install the piston for you. You can see photos and all of the modifications of the bike at my website listed in my hu profile. Asking price is reasonable--- less than 3,000 U$S with all of the modifications which cost over 1,800 U$S. Negotible.
Mike

Smaller Engine OK too.

The Bike must be in Argentina.
Ideally registered in the Uk, but registered in the USA also OK.
Would also consider 350 or 400 cc bike, enduro style. Not too high please, or with the possibility of fitting an easily available lowering kit.
Possibly even consider an XT 225 serow if in really good condition.
Regards
Annette.
