2 Yamaha XT600 For Sale in Santiago de Chile

Hola travellers,

We will have one or two Yamaha XT600 for sale in Santiago de Chile from 04 July 2006. The reason why it is one or two is that I (Jens) am thinking about coming back in December and keeping a bike for that trip to Ushuia...

Both trusted steeds have taken us 10,000 km through Chile, Peru, Bolivia and Argentina and have newer failed us, after initial carburettor issues were solved.

Both bikes have Hepco Becker panniers and topbox and a tankbag. The bikes also have a nice large screen.

Both bikes are 2004 models and have about 80,000 km on the clock. They can come with a full service if required.

Both bikes are Chilean registered and all the paperwork and transfer takes one day!

hey guys,

just wondering if it is just going to be one bike for sale or two? jens, have you decided if your coming back for a summer holiday down to TDF?

look forward to hearing back from you guys, my mate and i are starting to go crazy with the excitement of it all.

It's just the one bike for the time being and I had a few offers on it. So, if you are interested, last chance coming up! Best offer takes the price! Although, it helps if you are in Chile at the moment....

Pending on my boss nodding, I will go for the TDF trip over X-mas/New Year. The other will probably go on sale after that, but who knows?

For all those of you looking for a XT600 in Chile:

First of all, I have decided to keep my bike and we sold Kate's bike.

However, it has re-surfaced and is back on the market!

We sold the bike a few weeks ago for USD 4200 including panniers etc. The bike has about 80,000km even though the 28,000 given is roughly what the clock said. It had a new speedo fitted in the past.

In terms of previous owners there are Motoaventura and Kate as far as I know.

Can't say anything about the work he claims to have done. We sold it with a new chain and sprocket. The tires have 10,000km on (if they are still the same).

That's all I have to say about this...
