2 BMW F650's in Costa Rica
My brother and I will be in the San Jose area in roughly a week and half and will be selling two BMW F650's. We are nearing the end of a two month journey south from Philadelphia and would rather sell than ship the bikes the home.
The orange one is a 1997 with approximately 16,000 miles and is in perfect mechanical condition. The rear tire will need to be replaced in the next 1000 miles. I have all BMW service records as well as the title in hand. I am asking $3,000 o best offer /without the Jesse Luggage. I will accept a reasonable offer for the luggage. It also has some touratech goodies and a aeroflow, included. The black one is a 2001 GS with approximately 27,000 miles and is also in perfect mechanical condition. Tires are in good condition. Title in hand and all service completed. I am asking $3,500 or bets offer without the touratech aluminum luggage and $4,000 with it. These bikes have been extremely well cared for. Please e/mail me for now kris_roscoe@hotmail.com and I will provide more info once we are set up in Costa Rica. Thanks and we look forward to hearing fom you! Hi Kristopher,
Your bikes will be a great deal for someone! Have you looked into the issue of the Title being in your name and not that of new owner? What will happen when they try to cross borders? Or even leave Costa Rica? Perhaps you can get some sort of notarized document giving "permission" for the new person to ride the bike? I think I would avoid the words "Sale" as this would imply taxes, duties, transfer fees and such. When the new owner gets the bike back to the US they can easily change the title to their name. Best of luck, hope you guys had a good trip. Patrick |

HI KRISTOPHER, Yeah let me know how that works. I am from canada ,another question is if title can be changed without bike being physically in USA. I MAY WANT TO KEEP IT ORBITTING . I assume theirs good secure storage in san jose as I would not be there till end of feb. It would be sweet to start in the middle and drive one north and leave the other for the trip south the next time.stranger things do HAPPEN...

Good Questions!!
These are all good questions and hopefully we will have some concrete answers once we get to Costa Rica. I like the idea of keeping the title (orbitting) and finalize the sale back in the US. The bikes are titled in Pennsylvania. We will try and accomadate any of these ideas. The bikes are in perfect condition for the trip back to the US or a trip all the way South to Patagonia.
Let us know! kris_roscoe@hotmail.com |

BMW San Jose???
Hi,
I know the guys from BMW Motorcycles in San Jose - ask them, they are really nice! I think the part of the city is called Escazu, it is called Motos Bavaria or something like that. Say hello to Christian and the other guys, even to Norval! They have a BMW Club too. Good luck - Jens |
