Two Aussies keen to buy two bikes.

We fly into London start of July 2009 and would prefer to buy them in London, but are travelling all over Europe so can come to you where ever you are!! Our objective is to purchase the bikes before we get there if possible so we can hit the ground running first week of July.

We're very open minded, with three key points driving our purchase:

1. Reliable
2. Prefer something capable on bad roads/trails but is primialiy suited to tarmac where it will be more than 80% of the time.
3. No more than 3,000 pounds (3,400 Euro) MAXIMUM SPEND - prefer to spend half this much if possible.

Bikes considered so far in order of preference
1. Any transalp
2. BWM GS (i.e. F650GS
2. DR 650se or DR 400
3. BMW 80 G/S

Yeah, they look great, but think they may be a little small for the trip. Leaning more towards something around 650cc. Anyone?

Here's one for you......it's in Northern Ireland (one hour flight from London)

2003 Transalp XL650V, white, ex-Police bike with 24000 miles and a perfect service history, new full clutch system 400 miles ago, new headrace bearings, new front tyre and decent back tyre, centre stand, newly powder coated crash bars (still to be fitted), genuine Honda panniers and top box on Givi racks, extra switchgear on right handlebar end for additional lights etc (including full wiring loom), after-market tall screen, 10 months MOT, very good overall condition, upgraded brakes.....and yours for £1950 !!
