1999 Africa Twin XRV750 Wiltshire UK £2500

Its time for my Africa Twin to go to a new home as I am spending nearly all of my time on her sat on the motorway so I am changing for something with slightly longer legs (going to the GS darkside!)

It is a 1999 on a “T” and has covered 34,650 Miles (still climbing slightly as she is till in use)

The MOT is due at the end of May but I will be putting a new one on as soon as I can get her booked in (possibly tomorrow as I am off work) so she will have 12 months on for the new owner

She is taxed till Nov 2011

I am the 6th owner however the chap I bought her from had to register it to his dad when he went bankrupt and then registered it back to himself once the dust had settled so in reality it has had 3 prior to me. This is backed up by the receipts and other paperwork I have with the bike.

The good bits:

Has never missed a beat (I have done about 4K in the year I have had her)
Recent oil change (approx 1K ago)
2 Continental Trail Attacks approx 3K ago
New chain and Sprockets 4K ago
Givi luggage racks and topbox plate
Re-covered seat with Memory foam added for improved comfort (covering matches colour scheme)
Good honest condition for age and mileage.
Folder full of old MOTs and receipts from throughout the bikes life.

The not so good bits

The previous owner dropped her against a wall whilst pushing her past his house and there are some (minor) scratches to the decals on the LH fairing and a small crack. The LH footrest hanger is slightly bent (fotrest is not) as is the indicator mount but these have never bothered me. None of this affects the ride in any way. I also have a spare footrest hanger in primer which I will throw in.

The Kappa topbox, micron can and GPS mount shown in the photos are not included in the sale but I do have a Givi 35L topbox which I am happy to throw in if the buyer would like it. The standard can will be re-fitted for MOT and will stay on for sale.

I am asking £2500 for her

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events (22 this year!); we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, the HUBB or to receive the e-zine. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
