1998 Funduro in Cape Town - quick sale needed

1998 Funduro for a quick sale. Offers welcome. This bike has been ridden from the UK to Cape Town, and is geared up for the big trip! The bike could do with some aesthetic work if thatàs important to you, and there are a couple of items that need servicing, but otherwise it delivered me here safe and sound. Rotax engine just keeps on humming! 50,000 miles on the clock.

The bike comes with extras to allow short riders (like me, 5'3'') to ride.

I, and the bike, are in Cape Town (Seapoint) for this week only. Leaving with or without the bike on 21 Oct.

After market extras include:
  1. 27 litre Acerbis tank. 24k per litre means about a 600k range.
  2. WP rear suspension
  3. Zega 35 and 43 litre lockable panniers. These have been reinforced.
  4. Gel padded seat - 1 inch lower than normal. Comfort on long rides!
  5. Acerbis hand guards
  6. Bash plate
  7. Crash bars
  8. Givi 1-key 45 litre (E45) top box with universal attachment plate (2 keys)
  9. Links to lower the bike a further 2 inches (not currently installed)
  10. Various extras such as spare clutch and brake cables + levers, plus various other new BMW spares
Work that needs doing:
  • 2 front indicators
  • Seal has gone on the WP suspension. This can be serviced.
  • Seal needs replacing on front right fork.
  • Rear tire needs replacement.
  • Side stand is shorter - assumes bike has been lowered. Centre stand is fine however.
The bike is UK registered and will need to be imported. This would need to be done this week as I have to sign off my Carnet de Passage. I'm calling customs about this on Monday so will know more about the process. Any help or advice welcome!

Contact details are mailto:helenheaven@hotmail.com or mobile 0716408514.

cheers
Helen

Reality bites. We are shipping. Anyway, selling your first bike you rode 40,000k across the world on just doesn't seem right!

Thanks for the good advice on the HUBB about shipping team.
