08 KLR650 for sale in Ecuador or Columbia late July

I have an 08 KLR650 with Caribou pannier system 35 L per side for sale in late July. I would prefer to sell it in Columbia or Ecuador. It is regestered in California. I bought the bike in Chile and the USA paper work is no problem. It has 31000 miles on the clock and will likely have another 7000 miles or so by the time I finish. It runs really well and I have been doing all the maintenance myself. Recently done the shimms. Right ferring is damaged and right front indicator is missing, apart from that the bike has quite a few scratches but it is in great mechanical order. I will try to answer any questions but is difficult to access internet in Bolivia at times, I wanted US$3000 for the bike however I am open to offers, all offers will be considered seriously. Apparently there is no way of legally import/license it in my country, there is still one guy i have to talk to. I am still finding out what can i do to legalize it in Ecuador. (you can do pretty much anthing there (vehicle-wise) with the right about amount of cash in hand.

where are you at the moment?

Yea I wouldnt have thought it would be easy to import into Ecuador. I was thinking I would probably be selling to someone traveling between countries that would do what i have done and just regester the bike temporarly in each country. So keeping the USA regestration and just getting a temporary import document. Cheers
