Rear mounted sun shade

Hi folks

Has anyone come across a UK supplier of a rear mounted sun shade - smilar to the Hannibal side mounted one?

I have seen one at one of the Landy Shows that allows you to work / cook / wash at the rear door in the shade but have struggled to find a supplier.

Welcome any pointers

Cheers

Glad you asked! I am also looking at this ;-)

I have fitted a Autohome Columbus tent, which doesn't come out over the back of the vehicle, so had been wondering about how to provide some shade when the back door is open.

I think something could be made quite easily with some poles and canvas/nylon/parachute type material.

I'll let you know how I get on....

Many thanks!

I think it needs to have a long lip on the end of it - as the sun is not always straight above you - so you need to stop it shining inside as it goes down etc.

But something like that would be achievable....

Nick (you at Billing this year btw?) Hannibal do a good one. Mind you according to the grapevine they are not doing well and may go bang before long...! Works out at about £200 in the UK. Also check out MyWay and their Evolution II awning that can be used as a rear short awning, or a standard side awning - it slots into a guide rail anywhere you need it!
