Broken Down in France

Hi,

Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated. We are broken down by the side oxygen road a out 30km from Chamonix in France en route for the ferry to Ireland.

We think the key has broken on the crank shaft pulley. Can anyone recommend a local mechanic?

Failing that, does anyone know how much it would cost to get the 110th transported to the ferry (1000 km).

Thank you in advance.

Regards,

Darragh.

:confused1: bit more info would help... like what is a 110th?
Meanwhile some mechanics contacts in Chamonix as found by Google

Assuming the 110th (th being a typo) is a Landrover 110, Google comes up with these 'concessionaires'

Concessionnaire ELAN Subaru Land Rover
08 99 96 71 35
13 Bis Avenue des 3 Fontaines
74600 SEYNOD

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Concessionnaire et Garage Land Rover ELAN AUTOMOBILES a VILLE LA GRAND
08 99 10 07 28
4, Allée du Mousseron des Prés Village D'Entreprises
74100 VILLE LA GRAND

-------------------------------------------------------

Garage Land Rover Garagage AVOGADRO at VOUGY
08 99 10 31 38
1481, Route du Mont Blanc
74130 VOUGY
-------------------------------------------------------------

Mechanic recommended on some Landrover forums :
"Rashid at Perfect Land in Sallanches- great guy 0033 4 50 58 83 52"
see circled area

-The other Landrover icon near geneva is ELAN AUTOMOBILES
-The white icon near ANNECY is ELAN Seynod
-------------------------------------------------
Garage des Praz 74400 Chamonix , 1273 Route des Praz
0450531432

and if the 110th is something else, it would help if you could be more specific! cheers and good luck

Broken down

If you are struggling to identify the fault, it migth be easier to speak to a Land Rover specialist in the UK, for help and advice.

Try: Foley SV, Footloose, Gigglepin, etc

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
